C20 to C13 jumper cord sets come standard with 14awg conductors and finished with a robust SJT outer jacket. These cord sets are used to connect a C19 outlet found on a PDU (Power Distribution Unit) to a C14 inlet commonly found on IT equipment. These cord sets are rated for 15A in both 125V and 250V circuits.
C20 to C13 jumper cords come in multiple different colors, which are used to color code installations. There are many different color coding practices, however, the most common colors in use are Red, Blue, and Black. IEC 60320 C20 PLUG (MALE)
The IEC 60320 C20 is a grounded 3 Wire Plug rated up to 250V and 20 Amps. It is commonly used with either 14awg or 12awg conductors, depending on the application and the power draw required for the device. The most common configuration for a C20 is in a jumper cable scenario, providing power from a PDU to a blade server chassis, high powered server, large network router, or similar device. The C20 is used in applications where the most common IEC320 plug, the C14 will not provide enough power. This plug is rated for temperatures up to 65*C. For applications where the temperature of the equipment exceeds 65 degree C, we recommend using the high tempature version: The IEC 60320 C22 High Temperature plug, which is rated for temperatures up to 155*C.
What does the IEC 60320 C20 Plug into?
The IEC 60320 type C20 Plug is designed to connect to a standard IEC 320 C19 connector or Outlet. The connector is commonly found on power cords, and the outlet is commonly found on Power Distribution units. |
IEC 60320 C13 CONNECTOR (FEMALE)
The IEC 60320 C13 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V and 15 Amps. The C13 mates with a C14 inlet, and is commonly used in a jumper cable scenario in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. Most people know the C13 as 'the thing that plugs into my computer' because it is the standard connector used to power most desktop computers. In a desktop computer application, the most common cable is the NEMA 5-15P to C13, which connects your standard North American wall outlet to a desktop computer. The iec 320 c13 c14 plug and connector are synonymous with Information Technology equipment primarily, but the C13 can be found powering equipment like medical devices and gaming consoles.
What does the IEC 60320 C13 Connect to?
The IEC 320 type C13 connector is designed to connect to the IEC 320 C14 plug and inlet. The C14 Plug is commonly found on power cords located in office, commercial or data center settings since the C13 inlet is usually only found in those environments. The C14 Inlet is commonly found on a variety of IT Equipment like monitors, switches, printers, power adapters, and more. |
