PRECISION COOLING CABINET - 2K
Description

SRK PCC SERIES
These self-contained air-conditioned wall mounted cabinets are an efficient Precision Cooling system ideal for use in remote “edge” locations and inhospitable operating environments that don’t have cooling infrastructure already in place. These steel cabinets with E-Coat finish are ideal for indoor locations that experience band-width limitations, latency issues, or unpredictable network disruptions. These cabinets - with air conditioners mounted on the side - protect the delicate electronics inside from moisture heat, dirt, and tampering.

These enclosures are temperature and humidity controlled cabinets that protect delicate electronics from heat, dirt, moisture, and tampering. PCC Cabinets are designed to perform in indoor and outdoor environments, and are available in freestanding and wall mounted configurations.

These climate-controlled cabinets are a NEMA 4X or NEMA 12 rated, cost-effective alternative to installing a complete data center with a custom cabinet cooling system and raised floors, saving you space and money. Karis offers a diverse variety of PCC cabinets that are ideal for remote locations, wiring closets, and industrial sites. Climate-controlled protection enables you to install servers and other equipment without additional cooling or costly infrastructure.

PCC AC Cabinets are perfect for indoor environments when servers need to be deployed outside of a climate controlled environment. These feature rich enclosures include:

  • Digitally-controlled air conditioners that are available in 2000, 8000, and 12,000, and 19,000 BTUs and in 120V or 230V (other models available upon request).
  • NEMA 12 ratings for protection against falling dirt; circulating dust, lint, and debris; and dripping or splashing liquids in indoor environments.
  • NEMA 4X enclosure is designed to provide protection against ingress of solid foreign objects (such as dust) and water. Specifically, the “4” in NEMA 4X signifies that it provides protection against water ingress, including water sprayed from any direction. The “X” indicates that the enclosure also provides additional protection, such as corrosion resistance, beyond what’s required for the basic NEMA 4 rating.
  • Fully gasketed openings, including a gland plate in the top, help to protect your devices from dust and other contaminants.
  • PLEXI-GLAS window in front door.

Wall Mounted units are available in cold rolled steel and Stainless Steel configurations for outdoor use.

Karis SRK precision cooling units are manufactured in the USA.

Our enclosures are in stock and ship within 5 business days from one of our 5 dedicated stocking locations across North America.

CONSIDERATIONS

  • What are the cooling needs of the equipment that will be housed in the wall mounted cabinet?
  • What is the height and width of the smallest door or elevator on the path to installation?
  • What is the size of the area where the wall mounted cabinet will be located? Be aware of hallways
and traffic flow to ensure safe passage.
  • Is there a dedicated receptacle -on the wall- capable of handling the power needs of an AC unit?
The best practice would be the receptacle is internal to the enclosure to ensure no power interruptions.
  • For retrofit jobs; the condition of the existing equipment, the type of rack it is currently housed in,
and most importantly the length of service loop, if any, of the existing cable?
