IEC 60320 C20 to C15 15 amps 250 volts Power Cords are available in many standard stock lengths. The C15 is a high temperature connector. The maximum pin temperature of the appliance inlet is 120C for the C15. Standard color is black. Standard jacket type is SJT. Standard gauge is 14awg. Standard approvals are UL, CSA (c-UL-us). Colors available are black, white, gray, blue, green, red, yellow, orange. Jacket types available are SJT, SJTO, SJTOW, SJTOOW, SVT, SJ, SJO, SJOW, SJOOW, H05VV-F, H05RN-F, H05RR-F. Shielded cords are available upon request. LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) PLENUM cords are available upon request.
IEC 60320 C20 to C15 Power Cords are used to connect a C19 outlet found on a PDU, to a C16 inlet found on IT equipment. Because the C15 is a high temperature version of the C13, these cord sets are typically used with devices that generate large amounts of heat.
C20 to C15 jumper cords come standard with 14awg conductors with an SJT outer jacket. Other jacket types are available upon request.
IEC 60320 C20 PLUG (MALE)
General Information:
The IEC 60320 C20 is a grounded 3 Wire Plug rated up to 250V and 20 Amps. It is commonly used with either 14awg or 12awg conductors, depending on the application and the power draw required for the device. The most common configuration for a C20 is in a jumper cable scenario, providing power from a PDU to a blade server chassis, high powered server, large network router, or similar device. The C20 is used in applications where the most common IEC320 plug, the C14 will not provide enough power. This plug is rated for temperatures up to 65*C. For applications where the temperature of the equipment exceeds 65 degree C, we recommend using the high tempature version: The IEC 60320 C22 High Temperature plug, which is rated for temperatures up to 155*C.
What does the IEC 60320 C20 Plug into?
The IEC 60320 type C20 Plug is designed to connect to a standard IEC 320 C19 connector or Outlet. The connector is commonly found on power cords, and the outlet is commonly found on Power Distribution units. |
General Information:
The IEC 60320 C15 is a grounded 3 Wire connector rated up to 250V & 10 Amps Internationally and 125V/250V & 15 Amps in North America. The C15 mates with a C16 inlet and can also be down graded to a C14 Inlet. C14 Inlet and is commonly used in IT Installations providing power from a PDU to a server, router, switch or other computing device. The C15 is a HIGH TEMPERATURE connector rated up to 120°C, unlike the 70°C rating of the C13. The C15 is commonly used in in electric kettles and other household appliances that involve higher temperatures than a normal C13 is made to withstand. There is a dimple located below the ground pin to ensure that the standard C13 connector cannot be plugged into the C16 Inlet which is used on high temperature applications. This design is utilized to allow this C15 connector to be used on both high temperature applications and standard applications, as to not limit the user. The C15 connector is commonly used with 18awg SJT(OW), 16awg SJT(OW), and 14awg SJT(OW).
What does the IEC 60320 C15 Connect to?
The IEC 60320 type C15 connector is designed to plug into the high temperature rated IEC 320 C16 Inlet. This inlet is commonly found on high performance IT Equipment that reaches heats that exceed the rating of the standard IEC C13 connector. This inlet is designed to reach temperatures up to 120*C. The C15 can also be plugged into a standard non-high temp application C14 Inlet, which is located on a wide variety of IT Equipment like computer monitors and switches. |
14awg-3c conductors are UL rated to carry 15A @ 250V. North American Color Coding for 3 wire cable designates (1) Black Conductor (1) Green Conductor (1) Neutral Conductor.
