Slim Jacket Category 6A patch cables are designed for environments where space is a premium. The slim cable design assures easy access and removal in high density patch fields. A boot design that is flush to the plug features side to side stackability even in the densest jack field. Slim Category 6A patch cables feature a smaller OD jacket for space savings and better air flow in dense installation environments. All Slim Cat6 cables feature a rugged clear finger boot that protects the plug clip and are available in a variety of lengths and colors.

CABLING STANDARDS
Network cabling standards are used internationally and are published by ISO/IEC, CENELEC and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Since 1995, solid-conductor UTP cables for backbone cabling is required to be no thicker than 22 AWG and no thinner than 24 AWG, or 26 AWG for shorter-distance cabling.
CATEGORY 6A
Category 6A cable, commonly referred to as Augmented Category 6, is a standardized twisted pair cable for Ethernet and other network physical layers that is backward compatible with the Category 6, Category 5/5e, and Category 3 cable standards. The cable provides performance of up to 500 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, 1000BASE-T, and 10GBASE-T for distances of up to 100 meters.
Slim and Ultra-Slim patch cables will perform best at lengths of under 50 feet.
